The iOffice Employees Are "Getting Out Of Town"
Even though our office is a fun place to be, everyone needs (and deserves) a vacation! Our employees are quite adventurous, and have trekked through Alaska, Greece and the Bahamas during their time off. See their top six destinations, and maybe start checking Southwest for flights.
Where: Alaska - Denali
Who: Nathan Krichel
What: Explored the Alaskan wilderness
Nate said he has experienced his share of fun vacations, but he enjoyed the vast open ruggedness of Alaska the most. His family took a glass top train through the Alaskan terrain. They saw lots of wildlife up close including brown bears, wolverines, caribou, deer, moose, bald eagles and countless others! Nate and his family did a variety of fun activities too like white water rafting, taking a helicopter ride to the top of a glacier, hiking, museums, zip line tours, visiting National Parks and endless sight seeing including the amazingly beautiful Denali (Mount McKinley). For an active group, this trip is worth the hike!
Where: Aspen, Colorado
Who: Elizabeth Dukes
What: Paddle boarding, hiking and paragliding in the beautiful Colorado wilderness
Our co-founder, Elizabeth, just took a wonderful family vacation to Aspen. She and her family enjoyed paddle boarding along the Roaring Fork River, and her two daughters went paragliding! They also spent their days hiking and basking in the cool summer temperatures Colorado has to offer.
Where: Bahamas - Atlantis Resort
Who: Tiffany Rivers
What: Spent one week at the family friendly Caribbean resort
Tiffany's favorite vacation spot for her family is Atlantis. On their trip her boys were 2, 7 and 8. They enjoyed all of the activities this fun resort has to offer including slides, a private beach and aquarium-related activities. A highlight of the trip was their day spent on the "Flying Cloud". A catamaran which takes you to a private island where you can go snorkeling, have a picnic, play volleyball and other fun activities. During their vacation, they stayed at Atlantis' Harborside which is on site, a little walk to the water park, but has kitchens and washers and dryers inside the apartment style rooms. Perfect for a young family of five!
Where: Destin, Florida
Who: Nick Traweek
What: Spent a week with his family on the white sand beaches of Destin
Although we do have beaches in Texas, nothing quite compares to the soft white sand of Florida's west coastline. Nick spent a week with his young son and wife and their friends recently, and it looks like they had a blast! Destin is known for it's family-friendly resorts and calm environment.
Where: Galveston, Texas
Who: Kenton Grey
What: Enjoyed a relaxing vacation close to home
If you can't make it all the way to Florida, sometimes the best escape is just 45 minutes south on 1-45. You certainly can't go wrong with a beach house and a cold beer in Galveston! Kenton spent a few days relaxing with his friends, knowing that home was just a brief car ride away.
Where: Italy and Greece - Royal Caribbean Cruise
