The International Facilities Management Association’s annual World Workplace conference is regarded as the largest and most anticipated event in the facilities industry. This year the conference theme is “Create Your Own Success”. What does that mean? Just choosing to attend World Workplace means you’re on the right track. To keep that successful momentum fueled all week, we’ve outlined events we think you won’t want to miss next month in Charlotte.

From the Charlotte Motor Speedway facility tour, to the NASCAR hall of fame welcome reception, this year is looking like it’s going to keep us full speed ahead all week long. As usual, IFMA has organized an impressive speaker line-up from NASCAR icon himself, Kyle Petty to former White House CIO & Cybersecurity Authority, Theresa Payton. We know it will be a year to remember. Since things can get hectic during the event, here’s a guide of a few events we don’t want you to miss, and will help put you on the road towards success.

While hovering over your existing tech stack, Hummingbird features interactive wayfinding, room reservation options and robust space utilization analytics. Hummingbird gives your office the digital boost it needs, by filling in the gaps where your current IWMS isn’t cutting it.

Want to see more? We’re happy you asked! Also, to keep you humming all day long, we’ll send you off with your own iOFFICE harmonica to take home with you, just for stopping by.

2. Hacking the Workplace: Elevating the Employee Experience
Friday, October 5th 12:15pm | Charlotte Convention Center Room 208A

For the fourth year in a row we are proud to announce our co-founder, Elizabeth Dukes, will be hosting an IFMA World Workplace educational panel session. Joined iOFFICE CTO, Kenton Gray, Elizabeth and Kenton will discuss struggles workplace leaders are facing when looking to update to a digital workplace.

While motivated to improve their employee experience and increase engagement, most FMs are limited by aging infrastructures and the fear that “ripping and replacing” their current systems isn’t possible. This session will show how making evolutionary, not revolutionary, changes is actually possible to meet your digital workplace goals.

In this highly practical and insightful discussion, the panel will show audience members how to determine the items their organization needs, how to evolve their current tech stack, ways of identifying and testing which technologies will have the best impact on their workplace, all without disrupting their workforce.
