The workplace is changing, and your workplace management system should be keeping up with you and your changing office. Your workforce wants control and access to information that will help them better understand your spatial usage and plan for the future. Many outdated IWMS systems require manual updates and some even charge extra for you to access your own data! This defeats the entire purpose of having a workplace management tool. This demand for information and access to data in real-time is only going to get stronger. Not only is the need for information stronger, but the flexibility in presenting and organizing it in the way that makes the most sense to your team is necessary as well. As technology becomes more personalized, the IWMS you choose should follow suit.

One of the greatest benefits of implementing an IWMS is the information you gather from your tool. You will learn things about your business that are invisible to the naked eye. How and where your employees work, what types of space is used and the movement of your assets and departments. It’s imperative you and your team have direct, unlimited access to this information. Be sure to check back next week for our final installment in our video series.
